Driver remarks: Chan
“Well this weekend we had the big 50 lapper. I got off to a horrible start, and that was like a big shot in the foot. Instead of taking the green flag on the track with the rest of the cars I took it in the infield. That was the second weekend in a row that I have had a disappointing start. It’s no cake-walk being a rookie because you have to miss a lot of wrecks, and yet you’re involved in quite a few. You can have the best car, you can have all the money in the world to drop into your car, but it’s all about the lucky breaks. This weekend we were able to finish the 50 lapper but the #57 came home with a few minor cuts, nicks, dings, and bangs. If you are in the stands watching the yellow #57 then you saw some entertainment. The drivers going hard after the Remax bonus and the extra cash made for an interesting night. On lap 20 I lost the clutch and it made it even tougher for me to get the job done. All the external and internal damage on the #57 are going to make for a long week of work. Next weekend we’ll try again.” |

Driver remarks: Brock
“Saturday night’s 50 lap feature was a long, eventful run. The drivability of the car was the best all year. I was in the middle of every accident the feature had to offer. There’s nothing like the feeling of sitting in the middle of the track in a stalled car watching the rest of the field wiz by. We went a lap down in the pit area after I was spun out and T-boned. I was accused of being impatient, but in racing it takes two to tango. Hopefully the team and crew are ready for a long week of working on the #47. No matter what we’ll be taking the next green flag on Saturday night.”

Crew Remarks: (Fred)
“Well it would have been a nice summer night if we hadn’t been racing but we chose to be there. Any of the fans that were there know it was a tough night at the Five Pine Camp. My comment regarding the Late Model race is that it takes two to Tango! On the bright side Don and Terry owe Chan a little money for keeping the grass shaved in the infield. So we can put that money in the race car. Congratulations to Don Avery on their Sanair victory. Hey what do you think about the pictures on our web site? Tom our Web Master is doing a great job capturing our team and other important track happenings. If you spy him at the track don’t be afraid to say hello and by the way he loves a good story. On Saturday my wife was busy riding 100 miles on her bicycle from Hanover to Woodsville and back. This ride was a fundraiser for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon. As a family we all supported her efforts. Well it’s time for me to go; the wrenches are already flying so we can see you next week. As we say up north: keep your stick on the ice.” |
