Crew Remarks: (Fred)
“Ya Hoo! It was a good night on Saturday for Chandler and the #57. Chandler did above and beyond what you could ask a rookie to do in his feature. I think he tied the record for the most laps driven on the outside for the Super Street division. A second place finish was great for the Five Pine Racing team. As for our late model we were still just a tick off. We are gaining a little bit each week.
As we say up North “it was hotter than a cowboy’s pistol on the Fourth of July,”
and the night sure was hot. Not only was it hot in fahrenheit degrees, but in tempers. First of all you must understand that ninety per cent of all things that are said in the pits stay in the pits. Secondly, for the fans that don’t know this, a race car in any division can easily take up to twenty hours of labor a week just to work on minor issues. When you stir into this formula hope, fear, luck and adrenaline you’ll have a potion that will tip a Saint over on Good Friday. We all know that this is a quarter mile bullring and when things happen, they happen fast. Rules have their place on the track and we all agree that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If the rule says that there is no swimming for the geese, then there is no swimming, not even wading, for the gander. If WMMP says no three wide racing then there should be no three wide racing. It shouldn’t matter if you are on the outside looking in or the inside laughing. Consistency will make the geese happier.
The Five Pine team feels real bad for the team of the #7 and #77. That crash was a bad deal. I don’t understand how with caution lights, radios, and flags that this type of crash had to happen. Thank goodness that Jeano wasn’t hurt. We hope that they’ll be able to make it to the track on Saturday night. Until next week, with a 3 and 2 count, don’t get caught looking, go down swinging.”

The #47 gets pushed up out of his groove in turn three and spins. To our disbelief, the car and driver are put to the rear of the field.

The leaders spin in turn 1.

Brock went to the tower by mistake looking for ice cream.

Driver Remarks: (Brock)
“What do you say after a night like that? The car was tight in front and there was really nothing I could do with it. This past race was definitely nothing to write home about. During the qualifier I got myself up in the marbles and unfortunately spun out. The feature was almost as unsatisfying because I started in the rear and I was involved in a wreck.
Even though I was unable to team the #47 the way I wanted to, I was able to watch my older Brother get the job done. It was great to watch Chan from the bank of turn three hold onto the outside groove for about 25 laps. He drove a hard clean race on the outside. It was a huge improvement compared to last week. It was not only good for Chan, but also good for the whole team. Chan’s second place finish was a moral booster for the whole Five Pine Team. People have asked me when I expect to find myself in victory lane and after last weekend I now know what to say . . . no comment. I guess it will happen when it happens. I can promise that the team and I will continue to put forth just as much, if not more energy, to get #47 there sometime. We won’t give up! Hopefully next weekend will be a better outing."
