“Last Saturday was a great night for racing! It was fun to come back to the track fresh off a win. I have nothing to complain about when it comes to the qualifier. It was a pretty decent run! I found myself having a wicked hard time working my way up through the pack from the rear in the feature. In the feature I started 12th and finished 11th. Things got off to a pretty rocky start especially when the #7 car broke an axle. I think I avoided the wreck pretty well. The whole night everyone was racing in a very tight pack and they were bumping and grinding the hardest I’ve seen all season! When it was all said and done the feature was definitely a good test of everyone’s temper control. I have to say I’m pretty happy with the way everything is going this season!”

Late Model Qualifiers
Brock started on the outside pole and finished 6th.
|
Jourdan started in the rear of this field of heavy hitters and did a fine job in his first competition.
|
Late Model Feature
Brock in the 4th starting position while Jourdan started 21st in the 24 car lineup.
|
On lap 2 Brock narrowly escaped a crash when the #3 of Donna Cahoon and the #04 of Craig Herson spun in front of him in turn 3.
An instant before that Jourdan's #67 spun in turn 1 after losing a brake line that ended his night.
|
Brock fought hard, but without the cooperation of the #47 he slipped back to a 12th place finish. Dale Shaw Jr. and his #60 went on to win his first late model feature.

“This weekend was another disappointing outing for team #47. I really thought I had myself a solid top10 finish until I caught up to the lapped traffic. Getting tangled up in that dropped me back to 13th. The team and I hope to have the motor issues we are dealing with figured out for the ACT race. For the most part the motor has been running very flat and we don’t know why. I really don’t know what else to say other then pointing out that this season has been a very humbling experience.
Jourdan made his rookie debut last weekend and it was pretty cool having a brother out there with me. It takes a lot of courage to strap in and get out there. I hope he thoroughly enjoyed himself!”

“My first time in a race car was a lot of fun! Racing is easier said than done. I definitely look forward to some more seat time so that I can hang with the fast cars! Unfortunately in the feature my brake line blew. It really frustrated me to have to pull the #67 onto pit slab for the night. I really wanted to stay out there and race. I thought I was going to hit the wall when the brakes went, but thankfully everything turned out all right. I would like to say thanks to my Mom and Dad for helping me get the #67 out on the track. I owe a special thanks to my Dad for giving me a steady helping hand getting the car together.”
