Friday night at the Shop. |
|
Friday night started out at Suitor's Garage with Amber and John (and the carburetor).
|
The mood at the shop was serious at times, and light-hearted at times, but, if you know this bunch at all, you know they can't go more than 30 seconds without picking on each. Saturday is a BIG day for the team. Brock's #47 will be racing against 20 plus ACT late models, plus all the WMMP cars for a qualifying spot in the 150 lap ACT/WMMP feature event.
Chandler spent the evening repairing damage from a very rough feature event last weekend. The #57 is ready to go with a new radiator, air dam and straightened sheet metal.

Crew Remarks: (Fred)
“Super! That’s how I would rate last weekend. It was an honor to see the homeboy’s go up against the ACT tour. I was even more impressed to see that we were all competitive. Watching the action from the stands I had time to look around. It became evident from the ACT fans that the clash of the two tribes was worthy. I think Tom Curley and the ACT tour need to be complimented on running such a fine event. I also think our guys need to be commended for having the courage to go up against the tour. The drivers at the Park probably felt and thought that they were outgunned by the tour, but they handled the stress and pressure well.
It’s cool to see WMMSP, T-Road, Lee, and Oxford all running from the same rulebook. I am convinced that this is the future of LMS racing, and I feel it will stay strong for a long time to come.
What did you fans think of the other divisions Saturday night? The Super Street division went no holds bared. Whoever wins the title in that division definitely deserves it. The Streets and the Minis should also be proud of their show. Every class at the “standing room only” event was thrilling to watch.
Great job goes out to Nick Pilotte. We knew you could do it because you’re from Whitefield! Our season and yours has been about the same…TOUGH!
See ya next weekend!”

The #57 spins off the backstretch while WMMP official, Jeff Elliott, heads for the hotdog stand. The spin resulted in a 9th place finish.
