Driver Remarks: (Chan)
“This weekend wasn’t a bad one, but nothing spectacular. It really wasn’t the finish that I wanted. I did it to myself when I spun my self out in the qualifier. I got a little loose off turn 2 because my shoelace was tied around the throttle. The shoelace incident caused me to spin out near the light pole. Of course I had a little help from my competitors. I was definitely freaking out in my car when I realized my shoelace was caught. I really had no idea what to do and I couldn’t get the lace free. In the feature I got to run with some of the more seasoned veterans. A 12th place finish was respectable considering who I was running with.
Next week I will try not to take myself out of the hunt so early in the night. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel again next weekend.”

Late Model/ACT Qualifier
Brock started on the pole in the 11 car qualifier.
|
Early in the heat the #47 spun in turn 3.
|
Brock had to go to the rear and on lap 10 the crewchief brought him in to save the tires.
|
Late Model/ACT B-Feature
The #47 started 16th in the 18 car B-Main.
|
And, around they go.
|
Brock sustained moderate damage but was able to continue and finish somewhere around 10th place, but not good enough to qualify for the feature.

“Considering that I didn’t qualify for the Kangamangus 150 I still really enjoyed the pleasure to run with the ACT Tour. At the beginning of the night I drew the #36 which worked out to my advantage putting me on the pole for the 3rd qualifier. I thought I had my night made with such a secure qualifying position. However, my own rookie mistake kept me out of the show. We took three quick hot laps and then we went to immediate green. During those laps I forgot to warm up my brand new Goodyear tires. I went into turn 1 and the car had a terrible push. I lifted as to not take out Randy Potter (I knew I didn’t want to face him after the race). As this was happening the # 30 from the ACT Tour unloaded me down the backstretch. I’m not bitter about the unfortunate turn of events. It was my own rookie mistake. Later that night I had to race in the B feature in attempt to qualify for the show, but that was how the night ended.
On a positive note we were able to work a lot of the bugs out of the #47. I can’t wait to take the Park’s Late Models on again this weekend. Congratulations Nick Pilotte for grabbing your first feature win of this season!”
