05/31/07   Last week Jeff Marshall appeared at Fred's house and made him an offer on the #67 Late Model. That offer was accepted. Subsequently Jeff took his new #32 late model to Groveton and finished 8th in a very competitive field of cars. Alan Plummer sent me a couple of photos of Jeff in action at Riverside Speedway last week from his FANatic website. Below Jeff passes Floyd Bennett on the highside. So we fast forward to Saturday afternoon and pre-race activity in the pits at WMMP. Fred and Bernie Lantagne (driver of the #3 Late Model) had a long conversation which obviously wasn't about LMS setups for that day's show. Fred, with the team's consent, made an offer on Bernie's 2006 #3 Super Street. The car has a lot of history winning a championship and a bunch of checkered flags for Bernie. Sunday morning Bernie called and accepted the offer. A new adventure begins!
