I was riding around this afternoon and found myself in East Concord, VT. My Mother's roots are over there (across-the-bridge) and we used to visit often. I spent a lot of time sitting in the back of my Dad's 36 Chevy, and 1950 Ford, driving to my Grandparent's house.

If you know me you know I'm a family friend of Todd Goodness and his Front Yard Racing Team. So, being in East Concord I stopped by his shop and found him hard at work on his rig. Was it a new Strictly or Super Street? Nope, it was his bread and butter big rig. He was just finishing up with a motor swap. We talked about racing, family and friends.

Todd has decided to hang up his helmet for now and pay attention to the more important issues at hand, his family and business. A deal was put together for the sale of the 2005, #29 Super Street which will benefit another local racer as well as providing a healthy donation to a local cause. To me the measure of a man is in his heart. If Todd bolted up his heart under the hood, that baby would be sporting 1000 hp.

We'll miss the familiar yellow and purple race car but I'm sure we will be seeing Todd, his family and other FYR members at the local tracks this summer.
