7th event at WMMP. |
It looked like rear end troubles were going to sideline the Camaro for the night. Jason Welch (#21 super street) graciously loaned Chan his backup pumpkin and the race was on to get it swapped before the feature event. In a spectacular show of sportsmanship the Welch crew and crewmembers from Craig Roy's #14 super street team jumped in to help. (Thanks guys - we owe you one) |
The green flag waved and Chan made it onto the track a half lap behind the leaders. The #57 caught the 11 car field and finished 8th. |
Jourdan started mid-pack in the 6th position and finished 6th. |
Fred and Brock were at Oxford Plains Speedway practicing for tomorrow's Oxford 250. They made the 2 hour drive to WMMP and arrived just before the super street feature. (Above: #55 of Brent Dragon and the #85 of Trampas Demers.)
Triple 25 winners Oren Remick, Norm Andrews and Gary Grizwold.
Oren won the overall event and the BIG BUCK$ that went with it.
Nick Pilotte continues to be the model for consistency with another 3rd place feature finish. The #14 Richards Motorsport's VW Golf has two second place and five third place finishes so far this year. The checkers can't be far away. Nick has the point lead by 6 points over Rubin Call.
Jason Welch picked up his first checkered flag of the season and is 5th in the points race just 24 points behind leader Craig Roy. |
Mike Gosselin and his #9 returned to the park tonight and was very fast.
