Friday night at the races.

Friday afternoon the WMMP cars were ready to go so Brock and Chandler headed to Grovetona to help and cheer on young Sammy Gooden with his PASS modified.

For the last couple of weeks Fred and Brock have been trying to decide whether to compete in their first ACT race or run with the WMMP late models and protect or better their 7th place position in the points.
|
At the pit gate they were told they had to decide. Fred spoke to WMMP and then found Tom Curley and explained their situation. Tom told them they could pit in the WMMP section of the pits (so they could share tools/equipment with the #67 and #57 Super Streets) and they didn't have to buy 4 tires, but could use 2 of the tires they purchased for the Oxford 250. What to do? WMMP points or step the program up and run against some of the best drivers and teams the Northeast has ever had? It literally came down to a toss of a coin. Heads ACT, tails WMMP.

Well, you know Tom Curley didn't say that but that's what we were thinking. Brock was the only WMMP regular to run in Curley's show and did an outstanding job finishing 12th!
