WMMP hustled the events along because of the impending storms. The truck, mini, late model and super street divisions got their qualifiers in before the sky darkened and an intense thunderstorm pounded the track with heavy rain, thunder and lightening.

Because the #47 ran the ACT event last weekend instead of the WMMP LMS event, it started last in the field of 8. Brock followed the two wide around-and-around for the first half of the race then capitalized on someone's error and brought the car home 5th.

Jourdan started 4th of 6 in his qualifier. He lost a couple positions early on but rebounded and finished 3rd.

Chan started on the pole in his qualifier. On lap #2 something happened between Craig Roy's #14 and the #07 of Tim Casey to bring out a caution.

During the first few laps after the restart the #57 and the #6 of Adam DeLucca did some paint swapping. Chan was good in turns #1 and #2 and tight in #3 and #4 where Adam held him down. The #6 was no match for the Camaro and Chan went on to win the race convincingly.
Before Chan could finish his victory lap (and I could make it from the pit stands to the trailer) the sky opened up and this night's racing was over. |
