| Sammy Gooden and his #01 PASS modified. |
| Sammy is the 13 year old son of Sam and Rosie Gooden. This is Sammy's second year in this modified touring series and Saturday night they visited Riverside Speedway. |
| Sammy's car was fast. He started up front in his qualifying heat race and drove away from the field for the win. |
The feature event turned out to be a rough one. The car received frontend damage when Sammy got spun early in the race. The crew, after several pit stops, made repairs and Sammy raced his way back to a 6th place finish. After 3 events the team sits 5th in the PASS Modified points chase.
Next weekend the Gooden Family heads for Wiscasset Raceway in Maine to do battle on their 3/8 mile oval. Good luck Sammy! |
