Just up the road from where Chan, Brock and Jourdan's Grandparents lived is the Whitefield Airport. At the end of the runway there is a waterfowl nesting area on the waterway adjacent to Hazen's Pond. A viewing area is provided and I've been checking it out on weekends. I'm not really a bird watcher but after pulling in one day I thought it was pretty cool watching a bunch of ducks, geese and a great blue heron all hard at work doing their thing.
I was there today and a pilot was doing touch-and-goes to the left of me and the heron couple were building a nest to the right of me. Function has to go to the pilot, but for form and style the heron gets a 10.0 in my book. Then I went back to the race shop a drank beer with Brock, Chan, Jourdan, Joe, and Allyson. Life is good!
